Margarita Bibace Levy, also known as Margaret Levy or Margie Levy, has lived a remarkable journey defined by resilience, innovation, and an unwavering passion for helping people succeed in life, love, and business.
Born on October 14, 1938, in Alexandria, Egypt, Margie excelled academically and athletically at the prestigious English Girls College, where she stood out in tennis, swimming, and grass hockey. In 1956, due to political unrest, she and her family immigrated to Canada, adapting to a new culture and lifestyle in Montreal. She graduated from Graham’s Business College with skills in stenography, accounting, and typography.
Margie’s early career included positions in banking, real estate, and property management. By 1965, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch Mr. Installer, a successful window furnishings company, which quickly grew into a thriving wholesale business, Drapemaker Industries. Over decades, she created innovative products, supplied major retailers such as Sears, and developed thousands of accounts across Canada.
Her career reflects a track record of spotting opportunities, innovating solutions, and building businesses from the ground up—always with a focus on excellence and integrity. Notably, none of her companies ever faced legal disputes in 65 years of business, and each held an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
